How We Work
I look at my customers as partners. If you’re a new client, the first thing I want to do is to meet with you in person. We’ll sit down face-to-face and discuss exactly what you want to achieve. Whether it’s a product you want to sell, or it’s a training piece, I want to understand all the details completely before we even begin developing a script. Once we’ve completed the educational phase, we’ll get your project rolling. I’ll handle all the details. From there, it’s a collaborative, interactive process between you and me. I’m very flexible, and a firm believer that, in the end, “The customer is always right.”
Our Story
In the beginning
I got involved in production work when I was still in junior high school, and decided to pursue the study of visual arts in college. Before I knew it I was working in the field and soon after met Michael Horgan, who at the time was thinking of starting his own company. We decided to combine our talents and co-founded JPL Video Productions in 1989. I worked with more companies than I can count, on so many diverse projects, from retail TV commercials to training videos. Michael taught me that the most important aspect of this business is customer service. It’s a lesson I never forgot.
Red Sky is Born
After helping to build JPL into one of the region’s premiere production facilities, I decided to go off on my own. I created Red Sky Visual in 2013, working with many of the same clients I served at JPL. Being a one-man operation and owning my own equipment, I can be very cost-effective, and yet deliver the same quality you’ll find in a large production company.
Continuing to grow
I built Red Sky Visual on return customers and word of mouth. Much of my work is through referrals. After thirty years of developing a huge freelance base through JPL, I knew I could employ the freelancers I worked with during that time. They’re experienced and very skilled in their craft. Plus they share with me the same dedication to customer service. That’s what I bring to the table for every project. I can assemble the team for a particular job and give my clients the visual piece they need to communicate their message.
